Starting out in 1978, we opened our first office under the pennant of “Om Industries”. The company had modest but sound beginnings, commencing operations in 1985 in association with Maruti India under the name “OM Auto Carriers”.
In 1991, the term Logistics was introduced, changing the name to “Om Logistics Ltd.”, and saw the opening of the first corporate office in New Delhi to look after all legal formalities associated with importing and exporting of goods. After completing more than a decade, the company grew into an organization with a pan-India presence and introduced its latest venture “OMX Management Ltd.”.
This can be marked as the beginning of “Om Group” as the diverse business conglomerate it is today. Within two glorious decades of growth and expansion, the company had set up three more companies named “OM Telecom Logistics Pvt. Ltd.”, “OM Infra construction Ltd.” and “OM Trax Packaging Solution Ltd.”(J.V. with Tradia Corporation, Japan) to operate movements like: Inbound - Outbound coordination, warehousing freight forwarding & value added services among other solutions.
In 2008, the group’s international holding company, “OM Trans Logistics Ltd.” was established to import & export by air, sea & land across major locations of the world. With a deep understanding of the historical trading partnership between India & Nepal, Om Group introduced a new subsidiary- “OM Logistics Nepal Pvt. Ltd.”. Today, we have expanded our service portfolio to include diverse skills and industry sectors to emerge as a leading operator with a satisfied customer base spanning over 1500 locations and 85 countries.
